Meet the Maker, Nicholas Bernard, Studio Potter in Scottsdale, AZ.
Nicholas explains that early encounters with clay left a permanent mark that led him, ultimately, to what he now calls his “way of life”. After earning a BFA from Arizona State, along with various apprenticeships, Nicholas has been working as a studio potter for more than 40 years.
As a frequent world traveler Nicholas finds inspiration in many of the countries and cultures he visits and attributes a museum on the Greek island of Rhodes , where he walked through room after room of pots dating back 2000 years, for inspiring his current collection of work.
The porcelain and white clay vases, pots, and bowls; with textures, shapes and brushed-color patterns are inspired by Mediterranean cultures, they will add a richness to any room in your house. We know you’ll find something you’ll like in his collection at The Dowry.
