To Chicago based artist, designer and entrepreneur, Dee Clements, the process of her art is every bit as relevant as the finished pieces. It’s as much an exploration of the human experience as it is an expression of it. She is passionate about materials, ideas, invention, and experimentation in her art.
Dee earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fiber and Materials Studies and Sculpture from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago and will earn her MFA in 3D Design from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 2020.
She has exhibited her textiles and furniture as Studio Herron at ICFF show in New York, NeoCon in Chicago, Salone del Mobile in Milan Italy and the Interior Design Show in Toronto Canada with Design Milk.
Because of Clements’ deep respect and curiosity of material and process, Studio Herron textiles aren’t just textiles; they are a character in the story, they have their own voice of expression, they could almost keep you company.
Welcome to Studio Herron!
